Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, His disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are required first to connect to this mission and make themselves available to the Holy Spirit as He transforms their life and leads them into fruitful ministry. Along the way, there are many useful and helpful ways to participate in the life of our church.

Mission Outreach

Monarch Baptist is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or never leave Albuquerque.

Music

God-honoring worship through music is something we strive for. Church members can get involved in our music ministry.  Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Some are behind the scenes in the audio and visual ministry. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Greeting

All of our members are greeters.  But the Lead Greeters at our church fill an important role. They are involved in directing attendees, ensuring the safety of the building during services, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. It is our goal that very soon all of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video format. We also plan to maintain an active social media presence through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for additional church communication.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer is connecting with God to hear His guidance and cry out to Him on others’ behalf. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the service, we pray for the ministry of the Word and the needs of His people. Throughout the week, we ask for volunteers to pray for their pastor, church leadership, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs.

Outreach Team

Although we are all called to be witnesses to God’s grace and mercy, as well as being commanded by Jesus to love our neighbors, we need a group of members to help us plan larger connections to our community. We need creative types, administrative types, outgoing gregarious folks, and quiet thoughtful folks to think about ways our church can serve our larger community.
